ShoujoToys is a place for me to post my drawings, in hopes that they will bring a little happiness to others. I have always enjoyed drawing little smiling animals - ever since I was young. Over the past years, my friends (and especially my husband) have encouraged me to share some of my characters on the internet. On ShoujoToys.com you will find a selection of my characters - sketches, colored images, outlines, desktop backgrounds.

ShoujoToys.com is also a place where visitors can download outlined images to color - and upload for other visitors to see, if you're so inclined.

This place is an experimental site and a place for me to indulge in one of my favorite hobbies. It's bound to change through time. I've been toying with the idea of creating stories based on the characters I've created. If I go in this direction, I will probably post those stories at this site.

This will never be another Sailormoon.org or Neopets.com. Those are good sites, but they aren't want I want ShoujoToys.com to be. And, I don't ask anything of visitors other than that they enjoy the site for what it is.

What does "ShoujoToys" mean?
Shoujo is a Japanese word, roughly translated to "girly stuff." I tacked "Toys" onto the end of it because many of the characters I drawn are toys that can turn real. (Think: The Velveteen Rabbit) Considering that my drawings tend to be very girly, the name just sort of stuck.
